Colchuck Lake Trail 

 

The hike to Colchuck Lake is one of the most stunning and popular alpine routes in the Washington Cascades, located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth. It serves as the primary lower gateway into the famous Enchantments region, rewarding hikers with a brilliant turquoise glacial lake tucked directly beneath the towering granite walls of Dragontail Peak and Aasgard Pass.

  • Distance & Stats: Approximately 8 to 8.5 miles round-trip (out-and-back), with roughly 2,200 to 2,500 feet of elevation gain. Most hikers take between 4 to 6 hours to complete the journey.
